Hello

I am Looking for more information about 1Lt Dwyer Plane, so as the serial number from the plane and the crash place.
1Lt Dwyer James F, O- 756389, 367th FG/ 394th FS.
He died on 8 October, 1944

It was 42-67403 4N-# (I don't have the code letter) but he was killed bailing out due to systems failure at A-71 Clastres (Applejack).

I think we are talking about a P-38 Lightning, as I don't think the 367th FG, 9th AF had P-47Ds until 1945.

This might help someone search for a photo

According to Lt. Dick Brennan, the P38 hit comprssibility. I have attached the entry for October 8, 1944.
