Air Britain
Just looking over the books at the Air Britain site, and noticed several books that cover aircraft in a code range eg BA100 to BZ999, DA100 to DZ999 and so on.
What do these codes refer to? Can't be a particular type of aircraft, as several are covered in each range.

Re: Air Britain
They are the RAF serial numbers. Take a look at http://www.ukserials.com/ for more background information.
By the way, these Air Britain books are very good if you want the history of an individual aircraft. |

Re: Air Britain
Ahh, thanks Bill. To me it's an odd way of coding. I'm used to the RAAF way, where one code is used for a specific aircraft type eg Hudson, Beaufighter, P-40 etc.
