Bf109G-6 15975 lost 27 September 1943

Hi guys

Another query gleaned from Jochen's JG27 histories.

On 27 September 1943, he records the above aircraft being lost in air combat off Rhodes, with an unnamed pilot apparently surviving.

Has any further information, please?

Cheers
Brian

The Gen.Qu. report for the loss of this machine reports the same. The only additional piece of information would be that it was reported under the Lw.Kdo.Südost command.

Hi Brian,

I misread the unit - it should be IV/JG.27, the 109 was a G-6 and & SAAF claimed this in the Kos episode

Cheers
