Help with bomber relic
Hello all,
I just obtained some type of escape hatch. The guy where it came from told me that it most probably originated from a B-17 crash. I did some research but couldn't come up with any material identifying the aircraft part. The seller told me that there previously had been a tag attached with the words Emergency Exit. Unfortunately the tag has been lost over the years... Anyway, I was hoping that anyone of you was able to help me identify this aircraft part. The hatch includes 6 small windows which are made out of plexiglass. Here are some photos for your interest: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Hope to hear from you! Thanks, Michel P.s. does this forum include any sub-forums where these kind of questions are more appropriate? |

Re: Help with bomber relic
Hello,
I have seen a 'strange' piece of matter, such like the fabric fixed on a clear melted 'plastic', found on a Lancaster crashsite but it is only a guess... |
