				two crashes
			 Hello all together, is something more known to the following two crashes? 1.) Bf 110, 11 June 1940, FF Schmidt, belly landing near Freiburg - Haslach, damage 99 % 2.) He 111, 16 October 1944, FF Fw. Stärke, damaged by ship AA guns in the gulf of Saloniki and belly landing on land Many thanks in advance for any help. Best regards Rasmussen |

			 1940-06-11, 5./ZG 1, Bf 110C, Bei Haslach/Schwarzwald, Unfreiwillige Bodenberührung. Bruch 100 %. Flugzeugführer (Staffelkapitän) Olt Schmidt, Günter, verletzt Bordfunker Uffz Lotz, Arthur, verletzt Matti |

			 5./ZG1  Messerschmitt Bf110C-1. Suffered engine failure shortly after take-off for return flight to Lachen-Speyerdorf following earlier sortie from forward airfield at Freiburg and crash-landed near Haslach 10.29 a.m. FF Oberlt Günther Schmidt (Staffelkapitän) and BF Uffz Arthur Lotz both injured - admitted to hospital in Donaueschingen, Uffz Erich Bierwirth unhurt. Aircraft 2N+BN 100% write-off.  The Flugbuch of ground-crewman Erich Bierwirth records that this aircraft regularly carried a crew of three on non-operational flights. |
