Fw Erhart Menge, 4/JG 77, need info !!!

Dear sirs, we are a group of divers of Montalto di Castro, Central Italy. During one of our dives, we found the wreck of a fighter in front of our coasts. It 'very damaged, but it could be a P 47. Witnesses told us that ended up in the sea in the spring of 1944.
On the internet, I saw that Fw. Erhart Menge, 4./JG 77, shot down a Thunderbolt on 14/04/1944 at Montalto di Castro.
He may have been the author of the shot down.
So I would like to have information about this pilot and I wonder if he survived the war.

Hi Victor

Don't know much about him except his claims. I believe he trained with 4./Jgr.Süd. Made four claims, then I have heard nothing more about him, no lose nothing! His first three claims were as a Feldwebel, the last as a Oberfahnrich all were with 4./Jg77:-

19th February 1944 Spitfire 1405 hrs 50 metres Nr.1
14th April 1944 P-47 Montalto di Castro 1030 hrs 3800 metres Nr.2
22nd April 1944 P-51 5km North of Anzio 1337 hrs 2300 metres Nr.3
25th May 1944 B-24(HSS) 1308 hrs 6500 metres Nr.4
