So if "Lady Be Good" is stored at the Tobruk Military museum...maybe worth asking for it back?
Just wondering now, with the situation in Libya in a state of transition (possibly?), is there or has there been any interest in recovering the wreckage of the B-24 found in the Desert in the late 1950's?
I saw a link to an image of the recovered wreckage and can only hope it is still intact? Has there been any word or thoughts on bringing it back to the US? http://freeforumzone.leonardo.it/dis...px?idd=6941160 Cheers, MP |

I read some years ago in an artical on the plane that the locals swiped most of the wreckage and sold it as scrap.

And considering how they treated the headstones in the Benghazi cemetery, I wouldn't expect the locals give much of a hoot about old war relics such as Lady be Good.
