Information concerning the loss of Feld. Karl Strobel - 05.09.1940

Hi,



Can anyone provide details on the loss of Feldwebel Karl Strobel who was killed as a member of a bomber squadron on the 5th Spetember 1940.?

Feindflug is a flight against enemy (operational flight). In September 1940 in the West only enemy was England.

Hello,

According to the EoE Luft Loss DB: "September 5, 1940: 7./KG53 Heinkel He111H. Returned damaged by fighters during sortie north-west of Southend. BM Fw Karl Strobel killed, BF Uffz Kurt Schnerr, and HS Gefr Kurt Pufe both slightly wounded - admitted to hospital in Lille, rest of crew unhurt. Aircraft damage state not recorded."
