Does anyone have any history on Ju87B-1 W.Nr.281?
Hello,
I think that I've identified this a/c from a photo, but need to know if it shows up in any historical records during 1940 or later. Thanx for any assistance, Regards, |

Find a 0281, a Ju 87 B-1 J9+BH (white B) off 7. St.G. 1, missing from a attack to La Valetta/Malta March 23rd 1941.

Re: Does anyone have any history on Ju87B-1 W.Nr.281?
As Michael writes....I find the same with a little extra:
Ju 87B-1. Werk Nr. 0281. 7.St.G. 1. weiß B "J9+BH" FF Lt. Leopold Jarosch. 8.11.1916, Wien BF Gefr. Josef Jarnuczak. 26.2.1917, Gelsenkirchen Missing 23.3.1941 during attack on La Valetta, Malta. Probably due to flak or shot down by fighters. Both crew members are listed here as being Prisoners of War in Malta: http://website.lineone.net/~remoslie...0Prisoners.htm /Ian |

Re: Does anyone have any history on Ju87B-1 W.Nr.281?
Michael and Ian,
Thanx for your replies. This blows the hell out of my interpretation of a 100% loss to a 4./StG2 Ju87B-1 on 06.09.39. Photos show the W.Nr. ?81 or possibly ?01. Many other unit aircraft were in the 200 W.Nr. range. Does anyone have a reference to a W.Nr. 381 or 201? This is going to be a color profile a/c for the EoE Project and I want to get this one correct. I believe the code on this a/c is T6+BM. Regards, Larry |

Hello Larry,
I have a photograph possibly showing this a/c. W.Nr. looks like ?31. I would like to send you a high res scan (5 MB) of that photograph, if you are interested. Please contact me via PM. Best regards, Bf 110
