The caption describing http://cgi.eBay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...m=221145279994 as a Ju 88 is clearly wrong with a look at the tail. It's a Dornier 17 but I don't know what model.

Re: Photos 10-25-12

Hello everyone,

I don’t know how accurate this is, but I list this aircraft:
http://www.ebay.de/itm/ws/eBayISAPI....m=200838548073,
as being Ar96B-1, WNr. 1151, TD+ME, +51 white, 3./ JG106, Hamburg-Neuendorf, 1940.

Corrections welcome.

Re: Photos 10-25-12

Hi Steve,

JG 106 was found in summer 1943, and I have this Ar 96 November 20th 1943 near Mannheim, damaged 80%,

and I´m still thinking it´s a Ar 196

French Laté 298 floatplanes in the background while flying to or back from Syria in July 1941. It's indeed Piraeus.

Nokose

The Do 17 is a P model

Michael/Steve

I also think this is an Ar 96 since the area behind the canopy looks slightly built up which fits the 96 and not 196. But as we all can see it is a first class photo () and our eyes usually see what we want to see...

Christian-Jacques

Did these Laté 298 only pass Piraeus during July? Reason I ask is that there is also a second photo which is much worse but where a date is listed which I think could mean 1.12.1941....

Cheers
Stig

Re: Photos 10-25-12

Gentlemen,

the crashed Arado was WNr. 1198 TB+IV red +51 from JFS 1. It crashed 29.Jan.1941 in a house at the Jägerstraße at Hohen Neuendorf (located some 8 km south-east of Oranienburg).

Re: Photos 10-25-12

that make sense - in the GQM the crash is given at Finkenwerder (near Hamburg), and Neuendorf is north of Finkenwerder, the pilot was wounded also 2 people at the ground.

So must be this.
