28 November 1942 - Tunesia
Hello,
A combat war report from the II./Flakregt.52 (Mot) reports that on this day 4 Ju 52's are shot down while taking of from the Bizerta airfield. Can these Ju's? be identifyed? As a result of allied bombing runs on this day against the Bizerta airfield 2 Fw. 190 where heavely damaged and 3 where counted total loss. Can these also be ID'ed? Thanks in advance, |

28 November 1942 - Tunesia
Hello Stijn
I can inform you that II./JG 2 lost in this attack the following aircraft destroyed or damaged: Fw 190 A-3 (W.Nr. 0135 522) 100% Fw 190 A-3 (W.Nr. 0135 513) 40% Fw 190 A-3 (W.Nr. 0135 520) 35% Fw 190 A-3 (W.Nr. 0132 115) was damaged to 70% extent after being rammed by a Ju 52 tri-motor transport at Bizerta as well but I have no idea if this was somehow related to the bombing raid. I hope this helps. Horrido! Leo |

Re: 28 November 1942 - Tunesia
Stijn,
the four Ju 52 belonged to 1. and 3./KGrzbV (S) 11, they were flying to Reggio. All planes were a 100% loss.

Hello,
Thank you both Leo & Merlin. Is the fate of the Crews (and their load) from the downed Ju 52's known? Cordial greetings, |
