Junkers 88A Stkz DA+OH

Evening, i have recently aquired a number of photographs one of which clearly shows a Junkers 88A with the Stammkenzeichen DA+OH.
Could anybody provide a W.Nr or a loss record of this particular aircraft, or perhaps production date of manufacture.

Best regs,
Steve.

Re: Junkers 88A Stkz DA+OH

Hi Steve
Sorry I do not have a W/Nr. But because of the Stkz date of late 1939 I would tend to suggest that this is an early production Ju88A-1
I have it with KG54 - 4D+DL but with no dates or location.
Regards
Tom Willis

Re: Junkers 88A Stkz DA+OH

Hi Tom, thank you for your reply. Do you mean its unit to be KG30 and not KG54. 4D+DL is KG30!

Best regs,
Steve.

Re: Junkers 88A Stkz DA+OH

The only reference to this aircraft I have is the book on Luftwaffe aircraft in Sweden, where it was identified as a courier aircraft. It is also the only Ju 88 aircraft identified so far in the DA+Ox sequence so there is no way to tie it to a sub-type or approximate production date. The curious part is if it were marked with the Stkz., why would it also be identified with the 4D+DL Vbkz?

Best Regards,

ArtieBob

Re: Junkers 88A Stkz DA+OH

Thank you Tom and thanks to Artie for your thoughts on DA+OH.
The lead on KG30 is encouraging as to its subsequent operational career, pity the W.Nr cannot be determined from known records.

The photo i have only shows the Stkz and not any unit codes and i would think it probably taken soon after manufacture/ acceptance.

Many thanks for all who have contributed so far.

Steve.
