Wellington 423
Hello,
Back in 2011 I asked if someone knew about the modified Wellington 423 - the special adapted Mk.III for carrying a 4000 lbs Cookie. I am still interested to know which batches (if any) were modified for this heavy bomb. So far I have found some Wellington 423's in the serial number ranges BJ 9xx and DF 6xx range but I am curious to know the exact ranges (and/or other 423 Wimpey's as well). Any help is much appreciated ! All the best, Marcel Hogenhuis (Study Group Venlo Airfield in WW-2)marcelhogenhuis@gmail.com

Re: Wellington 423
Hello,
I found your message, I can confirm that the Wellington Mk. III BJ 657 was amended in kind 423. We found coins on the crash site and struggled to identify this type 423 was little known in list shares of Wellington. http://www.absa3945.com/Pertes%20Bre...20BJ%20657.htm http://img15.hostingpics.net/pics/349010piece1.jpg http://img15.hostingpics.net/pics/543227DSCN0042.jpg
