Two claims against Liberators, 1.5.43

Hi,
On 1st may 1943 at 19.25 Luftwaffe pilots claimed two Liberators over Bay of Biscay area:
-Fw Paul Bley (1.), 9./JG 2 pilot (see Jagdfliegerverbande Teil 10/IV)
-Oblt. Klein, Eins 2./NAG 13 pilot (see Tony Wood's Combat Claim List).

I'm looking for allied unit which was their opponent. I'm checked USAAF, US Navy and Bomber Command losses and found nothing. So I'm suppose that opponent was Coastal Command plane.

Liberator L, No. 224 Sqn was one of a dozen a/c engaged by Junkers 88's in the Bay of Biscay area on this day. Fortunately L/244 made it back to base having survived an attack by 10 Junkers 88's.
