Beaufighter Strike 20th Nov 1943

The North Coates Beaufighter force first operation did not go well, bounced by Fw 190 fighters. E/A claimed one kill, and two probables having been crippled by flak over the target area. Two further a/c crashed back at base.

Could anyone help me with their names ?

Many Thanks

Andrew Bird

Re: Beaufighter Strike 20th Nov 1943

Only one German claim is known, Uffz Otto Schmid of 5./JG 1 claimed a Beaufort shot down 75km W. Zandvoort at 1608 hrs (German time) as his 1st victory (his probable final score being 11).

Do you have loss details (type, serial, crew) for the three Beaufighter losses ?

Andy, I know you are writting about all those Strike units. May I ask you, if we do have (and if so, if you could share) a picture of Sise's machine, which he crash landed?
