Pre-war markings of Bordfliegerstaffel 1./196
I know from log books that Aircraft of Bordfliegerstaffel 5./196 was
marked 60+ - 95 so I would assume that those of Bordfliegerstaffel 1./196 were marked 60+ - 91. Can someone confirm this With some kind of Reference. During the summer of 1939 these two units changed their unit codes to 6W+ and T3+ respectively. Hope anyone can help. |

Re: Pre-war markings of Bordfliegerstaffel 1./196
Seaplanes,
1./196 first used the code 60+x81 (autumn 1936 to autumn 1937) Source: accident report from 09.36 and two Flugbuchs. 1./196 than received 60+x91 (autumn 1937 to July 1939) Source: two crash reports and two Flugbuchs. 5./196 formed 1.07.37 from 1./KFlGr 406 and received 60+x95.
