Help needed with serial number of 615 squadron hurricane December 1940

Dear all,

I am trying to locate the serial number for a hurricane flown by Jocelyn Millard in December 1940.
The hurricane in question was flown by him on December 17th and according to his log book was KW-J.

On this date he patrolled the Maidstone line at 10,000 feet.

I am having a model made for me which I would like to be accurate.

According to the ORB he was flying V7316 on the 17th.

Many thanks for this information.

Would you be willing to check the ORB for February 22nd, 25th and 26th 1941 and confirm that they are all the same serial number please as he flew 'J' on those days as well.

Just noticed that he lists the aircraft flown in February 41 as Hurricane 2's so the serial probably won't match.

He flew Hurricane II Z2686 on all three dates.

So it seems that hurricane 1 V7316 is the candidate for the photograph taken at Kenley in December 1940.
