Luftwaffe claim 26.05.40
Does anyone have any more information on this particular Luftwaffe claim (taken from Tony Woods list) please?
26.05.40 Hptm. Wilhelm Balthasar: 11 1./JG 1 Spitfire Raum Calais Refer: Prien/Bock re. Perry Many thanks.

I am afraid not. The assumption was it was a 19 Sqn Spitfire but there were quite a number of similar claims by I/JG 1 and I/JG 2 at the same time. He claimed 2 but the time for one is unknown but is assumed to have been just before the 2nd.
