Total RAF aircraft losses

Has anyone seen a total figure for RAF aircraft losses 1939-45? Apparently it does not exist online. I'd be interested in a/c types, locale, cause (AA, e/a, noncombat, etc) especially in ETO/MTO.

It looks as if Bomber Command lost 12-13,000 a/c to all causes.

Thanks.

Re: Total RAF aircraft losses

There is the set of Air Britain serial books from which such a total could be compiled, if somewhat lacking in the detail required. Much of this information is however available elsewhere within Air Britain and other published works, including books of Fighter, Bomber and Coastal Command losses. You might find that RAF Command is a better site for this kind of query. http://www.rafcommands.com/forum/for...&s=&daysprune=

Re: Total RAF aircraft losses

Hello, my old answer to a same type question:
"There is comprehensive loss info in Captain Norman Macmillan's The Royal Air Force in the World War Vol III (1949) in the Appendix I(MTO losses) and others in Vol IV (1950) in the Appendix III (others but FE only from Aug 43 onwards) In the end of it Total A/c losses on Operational sorties (less Malaya) 27,478"
