Is this a known Me 262?
Hi there Gang,
I just found a new to me pic of a forlorn Me 262...serving as a prop for merry GI's somewhere in Germany, Summer 1945. From left to right, they are: T/5 Gustav E. Hoehne, T/4 Dean A. Plummer and Pfc Alfred S. Stacey, Anti Tank Company 253d Infantry Regiment, 63 US Inf. Div. Any details about this particular bird? Cheers Marc Source: http://www.63rdinfdiv.com/occupationphotospage64.html Last edited by Marc-André Haldimann; 28th April 2014 at 08:22. |

Re: Is this a known Me 262?
You're welcome, Dan.
I wonder what those stencils A/6 seen on the fuselage and on the engine (A/6L) do stand for? I can guess the L of A/6L as being "links", left.... Cheers Marc |

I remember a profile in Classic´s 4-volume opus with such markings in red...

- LEMB thread, or inside a thread ??? Don't sure 100%. But I'm sure about that "red A/4" ... Hence it could be. |
