Re: Some photo to ID

Hi, Kris...

Thanks for these images. Some nice shots. I believe Ju87 (No.9 on your list) is T6+LR, 7./St.G.2. I have attached additional images of this machine for those interested.

Images via expired e-bay auctions, 07 & 09/2011

Regards,

Paul

The same...

Interesting... an other one is selling reproductions of photos. Currently 3300 buyers. When we take 5,50$ for each photo, he has made 18.150$. Photos from the web? I understand now, why sellers put big "copyright" markings on there items on ebay... its bad...

Re: Some photo to ID

Hi all,

actually that Fw 190 is "Wesse 20" from II/JG 54. Gefechtsverband Kuhlmey was an ad hoc unit sent to Finland in June 1944. The unit consisted of I/SG 3, II/JG 54, NaGr 5 and 1./SG 5. Stukas from SG 3 can be seen in the background.

The picture (SA-picture number 155 628) was taken by Finnish war photographer Kauko Kivi at Immola airfield 2 July 1944.
There are a lot of pictures taken during the same day at http://sa-kuva.fi. You can search by word or date.

Best regards
Raimo

Re: Some photo to ID

Hello everyone,

Regarding the upside-down Bf109 with Soviet troops standing atop (especially the close-up view), I do not believe it is an Erla-built version. Please note the lower cowling bumps and larger Fo987 oil cooler; both indicative of a Messerschmitt or WNF-built airframe.

The Ju52 carries the pig-fiddling emblem of BFS2 later BFS32
