Del

How did you come to that conclusion?
Which serial number did c/n 7690 have in your opinion?

Cheers

Re: Info needed on B-17G c/n 7690

Thank you Udf

Yes that is the general wisdom, ie Boeing giving c/n plates in USAAF s/n order.
But do we know that for a fact? Anyone who has checked any surviving B-17 physically?

Since Del came up with something totally against general wisdom, I thought he and possibly Harrison knew something I DIDN'T know.

So Harrison, why is c/n 7690 interesting to you, and why do you use its c/n and not the aircraft's s/n?

Del, how come you came up with something which goes against what has been published so far?

Cheers
Stig
