Re: Ju52/1m
In my view, not really new. Ju 52 Einmotor
This be about fourth 1 motor configuration Ju 52 on photo sales sites in recent year or so - one was 4003 D-USON, but two of them had Luftwaffe Stkz. (BB+AW and PD+AT). Apparently not this one (linked) that was not sold to Canada as CF-ARM (c/n. 4006 is reported for that) ... (4002) D-2133 ... used for tests and .... the second Ju 52 built (early 1931). Karl Rais "Recherchen zur Deutschen Luftfahrzeuegrolle, Teil 1, 1919 - 1934" (Verlag Dieter Hoffmann 1977) P.152 has "D-2133, Ju 52 di, 4002, 1 x AS Leopard, Ausland CF-ARM" but as noted abowe that was not same plane and D-reg moved with this in error. My apologies. -ed. Further to Ju 52 prototype (4001) D-1974 / D-UZYP / NL+KC (this is second source info, not verified that I know). Other I know very little about, were 4002 D-USUS, 4004 D-2317, SE-ADM, D-2317 again, D-UBES DVS and later to Luftwaffe. 4005 was D-2356. 4007 was D-UHYF but "converted" to 3 motor configuration. I read somwhere that these were not conversions, provision for wing engines was built in from the start. The current CF-ARM in museum is "replica" - converted CASA C-352 to single motor configuration. Regards Ed Last edited by edNorth; 29th April 2014 at 17:40. Reason: detected transcript error |

Re: Ju52/1m
Hi Rémi,
the photo on ebay shows Ju 52 W-Nr. 4002 (D-2133) with Armstrong-Siddeley Leopard at Dessau-Leopoldshafen/river Elbe, Summer of 1931. For more information on Ju 52/1m see here: http://www.adl-luftfahrthistorik.de/dok/Ju52_1m.pdf (in this strange language )Regards Peter Last edited by Peter Achs; 30th April 2014 at 13:10. |

Many thks , Ed, for the explanation the planes were used during the war as 1-Mot ??? Or engined up ?? If you could post the pictures ...
BB+AW Wonder if BB+Ax was not used by Erpr.St. Rechlin PD+AT I hv it with Weser Werke on june 1940 ..as PD+AR Peter your "camerads" hv quite in-depth articles there, always wondered about capability of the Ju52 to fly with only one engine.., Rémi |
