Me262 in French markings

I assume it's in French markings - French AF uniforms, and presented on French-eBay. The Me262 is in a sad state, having crash landed. Now, over to the experten for comments.

It was captured by the Americans and delivered to the French on June 4 1945.

The photo was taken on Sept 6 1945 at Tousson. The pilot was Commandant Houssat.

It was repaired and made 15 more flights.

Dear All,

Bertrand Hugot was kind enough to share with me the accident report for this incident. The wheels up landing occurred at 13h21 on Aug. 31, 1945. The problem appears to have been an issue of getting fuel to the engines, as the front main fuel tank still had 200 liters and the rear main 250 liters of fuel.

While it is possible that the photos were taken on Sept. 6th, I would think that more likely they were taken the day of the accident.

That's the first time I ever heard of the French test flying an Me-262 after WWII. I know other Allied countries had test flown Me-262s after WWII.

From the note made by Ph. Ricco in the thread on 113332 in the LEMB site.
"Hello,
That's right, thes 2 ECPA photos show the French Me262 "no 2", which is the first one flown by French pilot (pilot Paul Badre, 16th June 1945). But if the accident date is correct, the location is completely false. It crashes near Milly-la-Foret, about 30km South of Bretigny. This is about 200 km from Nevers!"

The accident date to which he refers is given in an earlier post by Peter Evans as the 6th September 1945 as recorded in "War Prizes".

The negativ of this photo belongs to the french official photo agency (ECPA).

There are fees to pay in case of publication...

The seller did not write if he sells a print from the original negativ or duplicate.

Tousson lies south from Milly-le-Forêt. As pilot I have listed Comm Marcel Housset. Is this correct?

Yes Roland, spelled Housset wrong.

pg 856 of Me262 by Smith/Creek has 2 other photographs.
