The Kassel Mission, Sep. 27 - 1944
Discussion-related issue on this board:: High losses USAAF:
>Highest BG-losses for the 8th. were on this mission: Out of 39 B-24's, (445 BG) 35 were shot down, most within 7 minutes by Lw Sturmgruppe fighters. After a research over more than 18 years only around last X-mas, US researchers presented a 88 min. very impressive documentary. The PAL- and NTSC video shows intervieuws with those who were on the mission Lw- and USAAF, rare camera- and (gunsight-) shots, intervieuws with German civilians and survivers from both sides etc. Real interested in obtaining this video may contact mbr. 8th.USAF-HS> >codeswart@wanadoo.nl< for more info.
