The AFHSO noticed the question(s) on this forum about the info I had received and would like to add:

"The information ( ) was from Microfilm Roll A0729 beginning at frame
1860 - History, 27th Fighter Squadron, April 1944.
The pages are very poor and difficult to read."

They also added some scans of pages from the book "War Diary of the 27th Fighter Squadron" with comments of Frank Lawson, Col. USAF (Ret.) which I'll try to post in due time.
(No serial mentioned here too, but with reference to the Yugoslav partisans also killed in the accident.)

Leendert, are you saying that civil servants (US Gov employees) working at AFHSO are comming here reading forum messages in order to follow up their sales ? if that's the case I would wonder why would they do that ? can u be more specific about your remarks ? As into the poor quality of material ,this is one of the reasons on why I'm hesitant in buying their records because most the stuff archived by them may be commercially elsewhere available for sale even free download on the Net eventually better quality and at better price. PS: if you red my other post on Lawson's book there's very little mentioned about him not even that later on was killed on a T/O accident.
