LOOKING FOR CREW OF B-17 #42-107099 "Old 99"

Need help please in finding any members of the crew, their families and/or their diaries for the B-17 Flying Fortress above...."Old 99" which was flying out of Molesworth, England on 13 Jan 45.

They were assigned to the 427BS(H) of the 303BG (8AF) and were flying a mission to bomb Mannheim, Germany. They were hit by flak & the a/c was seen to explode. The pilot/co-pilot/navigator were all KIA. The non-comm
crew (six of them) were captured and became POWs.

If you have any contact info for any of the crew below, please post here or send me a PM. Many thanks!
Tripp

Re: LOOKING FOR CREW OF B-17 #42-107099 "Old 99"

I found a Sam Paul Simone, 12 Jul 1922 - 3 March 1978. His enlistment record shows he was from NY. He married a Sara Josephine Day in 1943 in Florida according to a Florida marriage listing. I suspect she was from Georgia and may have been living at home when he was overseas. He died in Palm Beach, FL.
