3.07.1942 - Ju 88A-4s of 2./KuFlGr 106

On 3.07.1942 two Ju 88A-4s of 2./KuFlGr 106 penetrated British airspace and subsequently both were downed.
The first one went down at 20.20 and was 140016 M2+BK. Crew: Fw. Heinz Majer, Ofr. Horst Wyborny, Uffz. K Schatzschneider (cannot find him on VDK database), Uffz. Theobald Frank, all were killed.
The second one force landed at 20.30 and was 140017 M2+KK. Crew was: Hptm. H Bergemann, Ofr. B Mueller, Uffz. E Fahning, Uffz. J Fickenwirth, all taken PoW.
Does anyone have any photos of those crewmen, their first names or any pictures of aircraft before or after?
If any of crew taken PoW is still alive, any contact details are also appreciated.
Thanks

Franek: I have full crew details but as to photos, I have one showing two Polish pilots with the EKI and lifejacket and of course photos of the swastika. No German crew photos I am afraid

Hi.

The 'missing' person is in the volksbund database, as Uffz. Karl Schachtschneider I think. Buried at Cannock Chase. Correct, Chris??

Regards,
Andreas

Andreas, it is the man. Grave numbr is in sequence with the others.

Chris, there is plenty of photos from the August session if you need any, and the tail is still surviving. It is most surprising for me there are no photos of the crashsite.

Hptm Hans Bergemann, Ogefr Bernhard Mueller, Uffz Ernst Fahning, Uffz Johann Fickenwirth. Bergemann was St Kap of 2/106 and Stellv Gr Kdr. I think this was their last op loss before becoming III/KG 26. August session?

Chris, there was a series of photos taken at mid August 1944 showing airmen of 303 Sqn with their trophies with BM144 RF-D as the background. About 15 August Zumbach exchanged his mount for a new one, EP594, so those are the last ones with his most faithfull Donald Duck. If the photo you mention is the one I am thinking of, it is F/S Mieczysław Popek and F/S Arkadiusz Bondarczuk. I have got a Daily Sketch dated 1.09.1942 with one of the photos.
I have a description of the German mission from a 1943 booklet but have not got interrogation reports yet. Still not sure what was their mission.
Anyway, I am surprised no photos of wrecks surfaced, especially as they were not very common in Lincolnshire at the time.
Do you know if any of the airmen is alive or how they can be contacted? Via KG26 association?
Thanks
