He 111 "1H+DM" belly-landed at Grottaglie on 6 April 1941
He 111 "1H+DM" of II./KG 26 belly-landed at Grottaglie on 6 April 1941. Could anybody shred any more light on it?

He 111H-5 WNr.3884 of the 4./KG 26 coded 1H+DM (Stammkennzeichen: BK+CH, manufactured at EHF Marienehe in Dec 1940), damaged 50% in a Bauchlandung 6-Apr-1941 at Grottaglie following a non-combat flight.

No, no other losses that day, combat or otherwise, but KG 26 had combat losses over England that bracket the 5.April -- on 3. (2./KG 26), 4. (Stab III/KG 26) & 6. (4./KG 26). Are you seeking something in particular? GRM
