Just found the attached in a pile of photos-is it a well known photo and does anyone have an ideas as to where?

Hello Chris,

I have other views of this grouping, and unless I am mistaken, your photo was taken at Flensburg.

Have to take your word for it-nothing on the back. Also found a number of captured Fw 190/Ta 152 photos with this photo. One shows a Fw 190 A with T2-116 on the tail and the Ta 152 is T2-112

Hi Chris,

I can confirm: your shot shows, among others, "Gelbe 62", a Bf 109 G-14/AS, at Flensburg. Here a link for a more panoramic shot showing the same scene; in my files, this pic emanates from the Colin Ball collection via Flickr.com.

You can cross check some of the planes with the other 13 shots taken in 1945 in Flensburg, here in this link.

Ju 88 at end is A-17 Torpedo Bomber, code +EM or FM (1H+FM ~ 1H+EM of II/KG 26 most likely. After flight via Courland 08.05.1945 presumaly.) -Ed

Re: Abandonned German Fighters

No, I do not think its "Ju 88 A-4 Torp" (alias Ju 88 A-4 LT), as some did have Gondola, rather based my "assuption" on shape of Torpedo steering gear housing and possible unit. Besides II/KG 26 only (?) had A-17´s up in Norway in late 1944 and early 1945. There are photos of some there retaining Gondolas. But it could of course be "old horse" from earler days, or one from other (training) unit.

But here text writer at asisbiz.com probably errs, in that I Gruppen KG 26 had been absorbed by II Gruppen KG 26 in early 1945, to bring strength up. but exact date for this Gondola equipped A-17 photo is not stated.
