I am more the hands on type, aircraft restoration and engine etc than documents and archives. As for anything I can do to help the EoE, of course I will if I can. :-)

Hi,
this Bf 109 E-3 was manufactured by Erla Maschienenwerk Leipzig-Mockau between August 1939 and April 1940. Unfortunately no other information.

Mr Schmitt,

"Merlin" should be able to tell you the month of manufacture, which is all you now lack.

This aircraft was manufactured by Erla during autumn 1939, this explains the dark paint at the cover but not the final fate.
