Search for Crashplace/ Free French P-47
Hello,
i`m searching for the Serialnumber of the P-47 and the crashplace of Sgt. Charles Trescases, GC III/3 Ardennes, Free French Air Force. On 16.03.1945 his P-47 was hit by Flak in Schwetzingen/Heidelberg after attaking the trainstation. His Enginge was hit and he fly back very slow and low to River Rhine over the villages Wiesental, Neudorf, Graben and Stutensee-Friedrichstal over the Forest Hardtwald. Near a German Flak-Unit he makes a crashlanding. He was POW by German troops after he was heavy beaten by German civilians. I dont know is the crashsite on German or French site of River Rhine. Thank you for your help, Heiko
