Fw Martin Schulze 1/JG300

Hi guys

Can anyone tell me anything about Martin Schulze, who was shot down by a Mosquito night fighter on the night of 27/28 August 1944? I understand that 1/JG300 was responsible for guarding V-1 launch sites against night attack, and that Schulze's Bf109G had the misfortune to be picked up on the Mosquito's radar and shot down. I believe he baled out and was wounded/injured. I would appreciate any other information about this Staffel at the time (or was more than one Staffel undertaking these duties?)

Cheers
Brian

Hi Brian,

The pilot you quoted exists perhaps, but was obviously never posted to I./JG 300. There were no night operations of I./JG 300 at this date...sorry.

He is listed as having flown with 1./JG 301, not 300. From J-B Frappe's La Luftwaffe....

Thanks J-Y and John

My slip up here - I meant to write JG301! Sorry to have confused you - more water in the whisky is required!

Cheers
