Uffz Heinz Mellmann, 4/JG 27, Lost 23.07.1944.

This guy is clearly identified in A.D.I. (K) report 421/1944 as being lost at Pont Hebert, Normandy, 2115 hrs on 23.07.1944, I cannot find any record of his burial, or even that he is listed as MIA?
Any further info would be helpful.
Joe

Hi Wolfgang,
Thanks very much, the report also mentions his F.P.N. L.38013 and date of birth 03.Nov, 1921.
He may have been buried by the US Army who had a burial tag ID system, the VDK have many unnamed graves in Normandy with these numbers, but the relevant records were never handed over to the WASt or VDK.
Regards
Joe
