Question Richard Amthor,DKiG Holder

Gentlemen,

From wwIIawards.com,Richard Amthor had been awarded the German Cross in Gold on March 20,1943 while serving with the 7th Staffel,III.Gruppe,SG-1. What was his fate afterwards? How many combat sorties did he flew before the end of WWII?

Sincerely,

Edward L. Hsiao

Dear Sir,

Plenty of Luftwaffe veterans went to earn fame flying gliders in record settings. So this is something new about what Richard Amthor did after WWII. An accomplished glider pilot. Plenty of Knight's Cross and DKiG Luftwaffe holders had made gliding their sport after WWII.

Sincerely,

Edward L. Hsiao
