Hi,

Can anyone let me know the cause of the demise of F/Lt Jameson (622 Sqn) in Lancaster ME693, GI-F on 24/25th April 1944.

Shot down by fighter, possibly by

Hptm Drewes of Stab III/NJG1 at 00:37 6200m 50km W of Mannheim

Here's the entry in the NJWD 2nd edition manuscript:

Hptm. Martin Drewes: 22 Stab III./NJG1 Lancaster 30-50 km. W. Mannheim: 6.000 m. 00.37 622 Sqn Lancaster ME693

Do you perhaps know if there's a crew photo available?

The aircraft crashed at Gersbach near Pirmasens. Did Research on this Crash. More Details contact Uwe Benkel at mu.benkel@t-online.de
