Karl Rammelt Bf-109G6 Q's
I would like to know if the 109 G6 used by Karl Rammelt (code -<<+, II/Jg-51) was equipped with underwing 20 mm guns or not. It was the a/c with a riding -whip painted under the left side of the canopy. Also I think that the a/C has an overpainted yellow fuselage band and yellow rudder.
TIA and regards Jose Luis |

Re: Karl Rammelt Bf-109G6 Q's
Hi José Luís,
Karl Rammelt's Bf 109 had the mounted cannon below of the wings. This AC had the emblem of JG 51, but he didn't have strip in the fuselage and the rudder of the tail was white with 32 painted victories. In the book " Jagdwaffe Vol. four Section 4 - The Mediterranean 1943-1945 " has great images of this Bf 109. Life Like made a leaf of very good decal with this AC. I wait to have helped. Great hug, Eduardo Parentoni Brettas www.avesdobrasil.com.br www.tucanosdasamericas.com.br |

Re: Karl Rammelt Bf-109G6 Q's
I know these photos and I think that the 20 mm gun barbettes are not visible and it is not possible to say that it has guns.
I have seen several profiles with and w/o guns, Life like decals instructions state no guns, the new G6/R2 kit from Fine Molds includes the guns, etc. As usually a lot of different versions existis. I'm working in this model and I would like to know this detail Thank you again Jose Luis |

Re: Karl Rammelt Bf-109G6 Q's
A Life Like realmente não coloca o canhão. Atenciosamente, Eduardo Parentoni brettas www.avesdobrasil.com.br www.tucanosdasamericas.com.br |

Re: Karl Rammelt Bf-109G6 Q's
Hi,
http://www.asisbiz.com/il2/Bf-109G/B...c-1943-0A.html No Yellow band and/or tail rudder. And not exactly a riding-whip ... Poor horse. But, maybe, you aren't talking about Rammelt's battle steed? Regards, Franck. |

Dear John,
you're right to point that out. I just want to add that it's the same text in Brettas post #2. Just an empathy between two brasilian members. Best regards, Franck. |
