Lt. Detlev v.Heydebrand 1/SG 3. MiA 1.4.1944

Gents,

Anyone have any further info on Lt. Detlev v. Heydebrand? He was a pilot with 1/St.G (SG) 3 from 7.11.1942 and was missing 1.4.1944.

I found info of him in the Vermisstenbildliste and on the German War Graves site which says he was missing south of Pleskau. However I can not find a loss report for him.

He was posthumously awarded the Ehrenpokal on 19.6.1944 and promoted Oberleutnant.

The only other person I find missing from the same Gruppe over Pleskau is Fw. Karl Schneider but I can not find him on the War Graves site.

Thanks in advance
Ian

Thanks very much Matti,

By the look of that info he was already Oblt. and not a posthumous promotion. The entry is not in his Soldbuch.

Regards,
Ian

Re: Lt. Detlev v.Heydebrand 1/SG 3. MiA 1.4.1944

Reason I didn't pick up on Baierl is he was down as missing in March where as v. Heydebrand was April......there was only 1 day in it!

Nachname: Baierl
Vorname: Otto
Geburtsdatum: 27.03.1920
Todes-/Vermisstendatum: 01.03.1944
Todes-/Vermisstenort: Pskow Pleskau / Isna Fluss /Loaasowitschi / Tuplitzy / Waulino
