Fw190 pilot identification...

Hello,

I'm trying to id the pilot of a FW190...
On the tail of this Fw190 are painted 19 kills... all of british aircrafts...
On the rudder can be seen a "2405"... I think that this photo was taken somewhere on a dutch airfield...

Thanks a lot :-)

Take your pick. Plane was flown by JG 26 for quite some time. I would guess the photo in question is of Ruppert:

Re: Fw190 pilot identification...

Isn't this the photo of Oblt Walter Schneider of 6/JG 26 by the tail marked 027?

Re: Fw190 pilot identification...

Hello,

thanks for your help... I'd say it's Ruppert's plane... he had 21 kills... the other pilots had less than 19 kills...

Thanks a lot :-)

This photo is found in Don Caldwell's "JG 26: Photographic History of the Luftwaffe's Top Guns" and identified as that of Oblt. Ruppert's "yellow 13."
The photo taken at Moorsele in late 1942.
