Hi everyone,
I am globally researching the FAF as a user of Bf 109G, using a lot of materials, including notably of course the fabulous book from Kari Stenmann and other French aviation magazines that were dedicated to the Mersu.

My first question would be about the Bf 109G-6 MT-466, most specifically post-war around its night fighting period in 1948.
Some particularities of the planes were tall tail "à la G-10", sometimes underwing cannon gondolas, a typical green Finnish Air Force camouflage scheme (at least except for the engine cover).
However, few things that are annoying me, I found several conflicting pictures of (supposedly) MT-466. Differences are essentially around the canopy (Erla or early framed style), the engine cover camouflage, the spinner color.
I must say that on many pictures, the number -466 is not clearly identifiable, so there is always a risk of a wrong identification of the plane, a wrong legend for the pic. Putting this aside for a moment and before detailing those differences, I would like to know whether it is possible that :
- many details change during the course of the life of this aircraft, like the type of canopy for ex (vey unlikely to me) ?
- a plane may change of number ? For ex can a plane with the immatriculation MT-466 change its immatriculation to another number and vice versa (there also I would believe that this is vey unlikely) ?
Am I missing something ?
Many thanks in advance for your help and stay safe !
