On the flip side, how do you read the date?

Hi Stig,

Feb '16, but the actual day, your guess is as good as mine.

Yes, an interesting date....

I can see a 6 plus someting which looks like a "small half moon" and then Feb.16 just as you also say. I have put it down to the 6th (hopefully he just had a jumpy hand... :-) )

Cheers
Stig

Re: Photo LVG B.I

I'm also intrigued by the location . This item from the same seller:

https://www.ebay.de/itm/Foto-Feldflu...sAAOSw33Fefey3

has Lyskowize, but I assume that it is actually Laskowice as included in the description of all the items or in German Leskowitz, so odd spelling variation in the link above. This might possibly open the possibility of the aircraft being from a training unit FEA 11 at Brieg which was near Leskowitz, However the captured Russian Morane Saulnier L suggests otherwise and I wonder if its not Lyskow in present day Belarus and the aircraft shown are from a combat unit. Hopefully the seller posts more items from this collection, which I expect because in the description he sys that the photos come from a soldier with Jasta 26 and we've seen no Js 26 aircraft yet.

Regards,

Clint
