Looking for US fighter who shot down Me109 G6 on 25. March 1945 - W of Würzburg

Hello,

does anybody know which american unit /pilot, could have shot down the Me109 G-6 of Uffz. Erwin Jäke from 3.NAG 13 on 25. March 1945 ?

Other sources say 23.March 1945 - but his grave shows 25.3.1945 ...

He was shot down between Darmstadt and Wertheim - in the area of Amorbach.

Thank you and have a nice day

Greetings Juergen

23 March 1945 there are many claims in the Darmstadt-Aschaffenberg area. He could have been shot down on this date and died 2 days later? On 25 Mar 45 there are claims near Neustadt and Bensheim

Hello,

thank you for our answer - an old man, who was a young boy in 1945 told me, that the pilot was killed and was buried on 25. March at Amorbach and after one or two days, his comrades came from the Dornberg airfield and took him to bury him at Hopfingen...

The records of the cemetry Höpfingen, says 23.3.1945 in 1953 -

in 1985 there is a new record, it says 25.3.1945 ...

So I cant really not say what right ... The man who saw the plane crashing down, wrote also 25. March 1945...

I have no documents with losses of NAG13 from 23 or 25. March 1945..

Best regards Jurgen
