ID pilots of 3./JG 2
This photograph shows pilots of JG 2 at Beaumont.
Comparing this shot to the ones Jochen Prien published, I'm almost sure that the pilot on the right is Lt Herbert Horn. So, my guess is that they all belong to 3./JG 2 (the pet dog too...). I believe I recognize Franz Fiby playing chess. Who are the others? Is Meimberg (Staka) the second from the right? Thanks in advance. Last edited by CJE; 14th April 2007 at 07:12. |

Bonjour,
I am agree with Chris. How are you sure of your source? Is it really Beaumont-le-Roger? Do you have a date? Thanks Fredo |

Re: ID pilots of 3./JG 2
Hello to all
Except the pilot on the right and the one showing his back on the left, they all can be easily identified, using the JG 1 books of Eric Mombeek. They belong to JG 1 and not to JG 2. Regards Phil |
