Fw 190 cockpit control
There's a small handle in the center of the instrument panel (on some, but not all Fw 190's) that can be spun or rotated. What is it?
Here are a few examples. Some are captured aircraft with American/British instruments just above the handle. The rotating handle and instruments have no correlation with each other. Re: Fw 190 cockpit control
Hello
First, happy new year to everyone. The handle/crank could be for the manual adjusting of the exit cooling air flaps. Introduced at the A4/A5, more or less described in the "Teil 7" of the "Flugzeug Handbuch". Regards J Schreiber |

Re: Fw 190 cockpit control
Many A-3 was retrofittet with the adjustable cooling gills in their role as JABOs. Some of these lasted till the end of the war.
