PZL P-50 "JASTRAZ" in LW markings?

Good evening!

Did Luftwaffe capture this aircraft and eventually fly it with LW markings?
I have a model of this plane and would like to build it in LW colours if possible!
Thank You

Christian

Re: PZL P-50 "JASTRAZ" in LW markings?

Hi Christian

Up until earlier this year it had been debatable whether this type had survived intact to be 'captured' by the Germans in Sept. 39.

But some fine fotos sold on Ebay proved otherwise.

The aircraft appears intact but would not have been airworthy. And the design was not radical enough for the Germans to have done so.

Therefore I conjecture that this type never received German markings. But you never know. Perhaps some one else has a foto of this type with German markings. Stranger things have happened.

However, there were many French types captured in 1940 that were also in a intact/derelict state and these did receive Lw markings to be deployed as decoy/dummy aircraft at various dummy airfields to attract Allied attention

Hope this answers your question.
