145 Squadron escorts USAAF Baltimores
"escort duty to four U.S.A.A.F. Baltimores over Velletri on 21 May, 1944"
Were the USAAF flying Baltimores on this raid? regards Keith |

Re: 145 Squadron escorts USAAF Baltimores
S.A.A.F. Baltimores more likely?
USAAF had B-25s and B-26s in Italy as medium bombers. Regards, Leendert |

Thanks Leendert, that was my understanding too, with perhaps A-20 Havocs also? Nick Beales Ghostbomber resource states 24 Baltimores but does not claim they are USAAF. That seems to confirm they were Baltimores and probably RAF/SAAF.
best regards Keith |
