Question on a couple of SG 2 FW 190s from Aug/Oct-44.
FW 190F-8, 932712, Osterstock, Fhr. Ernst, , II., 4., SG 2, weiße, 2 + -, , , 24-Jul-44, MIA due to Luftkampf. Took off from Okecie., DUP WNr.!! NOT in Hazard., Lfl.4/Eins.Osten, Balss, Deutsche LW Losses & Claims, V.34-2 (16 - 31-Jul-44), p.178, , Raum Deleni - Crniesti, 100%, F, , ,
FW 190F-8, 932712, Weise, Ofw. Werner, , II., 4., SG 2, weiße, 2 + -, , , 06-Oct-44, KIA due to Luftkampf with an La 5., DUP WNr.!!, Eins.Osten, Hazard, La StG. 2, II, p.102, , bei Gyula, 100%, F, , , Did Osterstock actually return with his machine only for it to be lost on 6-Oct-44? Or is this a simple case of a duplicated WNr. in reporting? (Note also that Balss reports another 4./SG 2 FW 190F8 WNr. 582232 lost on 24-Jul-44 that Hazard reports as lost on 28-Sep-44.)
