Interesting piece! A more comprehensive biography of Sqn Ldr 'Bull' Halahan appeared in a recent Aerojournal issue, authored by Jean-Louis Roba. Shame that the Irish have such a terribly ambivalent attitude towards service in British uniform, which was nothing less than participation in the defence of Europe. Those Irish vets awarded the Légion d’honneur won it as a result of their service in Britain's armed forces!
