1st FG mission reports, 1944
Hi Folks,
Wondering if anyone has any of the 15th AAF, 1st FG squadrons' MISSION REPORTS for the following days: April 13, 1944 - 27th, 71st, 94th FS pilot-lists (or at least the flight leaders from the 1st FG summary report.) June 16, 1944 - only the 27th FS pilot-list July 2, 1944 - 27th, 71st, 94th FS pilot-lists (or at least the flight leaders from the 1st FG summary report.) July 27, 1944 - only the 27th and 94th FS pilot-lists (or the flight leaders from the 1st FG summary report.) September 18, 1944 - only the 94th FS pilot-list (or the flight leaders from the 1st FG summary report.) All I need from these reports is the names of the pilots, nothing else. Thanks, Gabor |

Re: 1st FG mission reports, 1944
Dear Chris,
Thank you so much, this is exactly what I needed! About a quarter of a century ago I interviewed many 15 AAF veterans about their, or their comrades' missions and planes, incl. their plane markings. I think it was a unique survey, many pilots (from 1 FG, 332 'Tuskegee' FG, etc.), but especially Donald A. Luttrell (15 AAF, 14 FG, 49 FS) had amazing AC lists for their missions, for example on November 26, 1944: Pilot: P-38J/L boom/nose #s: Hughes #35 Nance #36 Slatkow #37 Utermahlen #42 Baird #48 Goffena #51 Bowling #56 De Martine #60 Nerney #131 Edwards #132 Fried #135 Bryant #137 Hauser #138 Although Don Luttrell was initially assigned P-38J #43, occasionally he also flew 1Lt Philip Melvin Goldstein's famous #47 (JEWBOY). Later I could add many of the appropriate serials and nicknames to their planes. Cheers, Gabor |
