Forum Closing

So sorry to see your announcement at the top of the page that the 12oclock high forum will close at the end of the month. I have enjoyed the research and posting over the years. Best wishes to all members.

I think other sites should be listed here. Other places people can go to.

Re: Forum Closing

My compliments to Ruy to have TOCH operating for years on end. With the imminent end of this forum, my thanks to all the members who have shared whatever info they could dig up and find answers to our and my many, many questions.
No doubt we'll meet again on other forums!

Leendert

Re: Forum Closing

I looked at the Web-Archive to see what has been captured, here:

https://web.archive.org/web/20250000...oclockhigh.net

At first glance it appears that something has been captured, but if you start to try and follow the links and drill down to the actual posts, it soon becomes apparent that the capture has not been successful.

Depending on how a website is designed, capture can be easy or difficult or impossible.
It appears to me that the forum has not been captured in a useable format.

Maybe I am doing something wrong when I drill down. Perhaps someone else will have better luck and can check.

Re: Forum Closing

That's a very great shame indeed; what a resource of arcane knowledge, generously shared, this place has been.

I'd just like to add my heartfelt thanks to Ruy for carrying it all, a job well done. To use the terminology of RAF Special Duties ORBs: DCO

Re: Forum Closing

I am throwing this out there.

12 Years ago Ross McNeill went through the same phase with the site RAFcommands.com to focus on better things. I offered to run it on behalf of some of the forum regulars. And i would say I have kept that promise for the past 12 years.

I offer to do the same with TOCH if Ruy is interested in continuing this legacy .

Worst case, I can do a back up copy of this forum and host it on RAFcommands - but need permission to archive the copy on a publicly available webserver.

Re: Forum Closing

**RUY**

If you are reading this, I sounded out Jagan Pillarisetti (who runs the thriving site over at rafcommands.com) and he would be interested in taking over the running of the forum.

All you have to do is give the word and I'll put you in touch.

Rich
